A safe, sober home to start again.
“Saving One Soul at a Time”
Way of Life Ministry offers a safe, sober, and structured home for adults rebuilding their lives after alcohol or drug addiction, with a special commitment to military veterans.
A real bed, a sober house, and people who believe in you
For many people leaving detox, treatment, the hospital, a shelter, or jail, the hardest question is “Where will I sleep tonight?” We answer it with a clean, furnished, drug- and alcohol-free home.
Adults in recovery
Adults 18+ in recovery from alcohol or drug addiction who want a sober, structured place to live and are ready to do the work.
Military veterans
Veterans are a priority. We coordinate with the VA, SSVF, and Mercer County veteran services so those who served have a place to come home to.
A next step after care
A step down from detox, residential treatment, a hospital stay, a shelter, Recovery Court, or reentry. We serve Mercer County first and accept residents from across New Jersey.
Housing and recovery support. Not treatment.
We provide a home. Residents keep their own outside treatment, counseling, and medical care, and we help them stay connected to it.
- A drug- and alcohol-free home with house rules, curfew, chores, and regular drug and alcohol testing
- Staff on site every night, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- Weekly house meetings and outside recovery meetings
- Help connecting to jobs, benefits, VA services, peer recovery coaches, and outside treatment
- Naloxone in the house, with trained staff and residents
Faith-based, and welcoming to everyone
Our work is rooted in faith. We offer optional prayer, Bible study, and mentoring for anyone who wants it.
Faith participation is never required to live here or to keep a bed. We welcome residents of every faith and of no faith.
Sponsor a bed. Change a life.
Many people come to us with nothing. A sponsored bed lets someone move in on the day they need it, before their first paycheck or benefits arrive. Your church can adopt a bed and walk alongside the people who sleep in it.

Know someone who needs a sober place to live?
Case managers, discharge planners, court and probation staff, VA social workers, pastors, and families can refer someone, or a person can apply for themselves.
