Sponsor a bed. Save a soul.

Every bed in our home is a place where someone gets a fresh start. Churches, families, and neighbors can cover a resident’s bed while they get back on their feet.

Why it matters

The first night matters most

Many people leave detox, treatment, the hospital, or jail with nowhere safe to go. Without a sober place to live, the chance of going back to old people and old places is high.

A sponsored bed lets someone move in on the day they need it, before a first paycheck or benefits come through. For many residents, arriving at a clean, furnished home with a real bed and fresh sheets is the first sign that their new life has begun.

What a sponsorship covers

  • A furnished bed in a safe, sober home
  • Utilities and Wi-Fi
  • Overnight staff, house meetings, and drug and alcohol testing
  • A resident who can’t yet pay the weekly fee, so no one is turned away for money alone

For congregations

Church Partners: adopt a bed

A Church Partner congregation adopts one bed in our home, at any level, and walks alongside the people who sleep in it. It’s a simple, hands-on mission your whole church can rally around, right here in Mercer County.

  1. Reach out. Call [PHONE] or email [EMAIL]. Daniel Knowles, our founder, will gladly visit to share our mission with your pastor, mission committee, or congregation.
  2. Choose your level. Adopt a bed for a year ($10,000), give monthly ($850), sponsor weeks ($200 each), or furnish a bed ($500).
  3. Give together. Take up a special offering, add it to your mission budget, or host a “Furnish the House” Sunday.
  4. Stay connected. Receive updates, pray for the residents, and see the difference your bed makes.

How we recognize your church

  • A plaque on your adopted bed: “This bed is sponsored by the people of [your church]”
  • Your church listed as a Church Partner on this website and in our materials (with your permission)
  • Regular updates you can share with your congregation, without ever naming or identifying residents
  • An invitation to our open house and bed dedication
  • A thank-you letter and gift receipt for your records

More ways your congregation can help

  • Collect beds, linens, and household items (see the list below)
  • Send volunteers for a move-in work day
  • Offer mentors willing to walk alongside a resident
  • Welcome residents to worship, if they choose to come
  • Keep our residents in your prayers
